The Collaboration

The inspiration for ALMA comes from materials that have shaped landscapes, architecture, and craft for centuries. The collection translates that material heritage into a contemporary architectural language designed for modern spaces.

Soul of Mexico

Where material meets memory

ALMA is a collection of architectural surfaces inspired by Mexican materials that carry history, craft, and cultural character.

Through a contemporary design language, these materials are reinterpreted as structured compositions that bring depth, rhythm, and quiet presence to interior spaces.

Material Stories

Sagrado

Inspired by the monumental doors of colonial Mexico, the Sagrado panel fuses charred solid ash squares and solid copper medallion inlays in a rhythmic grid that evokes craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary elegance.

The copper inlays serve as a modern homage to the traditional clavos, the decorative metal studs once used to fortify and adorn monumental doors across regions like Pátzcuaro and Oaxaca.

Material Stories

Sendero

In the heart of many of Mexico's most iconic towns, the streets are paved not just with stone, but with history. For centuries, volcanic rock was the material of choice in these regions, not only because of its strength and durability, but because of its abundance and deep connection to the land.

These hand-carved adoquines of lava stone shaped the identity of entire cities, their quiet geometry guiding the flow of rain, horses, people, and time itself. By reinterpreting the traditional volcanic paving stone into a refined architectural surface, this design captures the spirit of Mexican heritage and translates it into a bold, contemporary language.

Material Stories

Reflejo

In ancient Mexico, obsidian was treasured for its striking beauty and natural brilliance. Its deep black, mirror-like surface symbolized strength and power, often reserved for fine jewelry and tools of high status.

Here, the legacy of Mexican craftsmanship is reimagined through a contemporary lens. Obsidian inlays are arranged to create a refined visual rhythm across the wall, giving the effect of jewelry in architectural form. It honors the cultural significance of obsidian while expressing a modern sense of sophistication and craft.
