Horizontal or vertical – you decide!

Horizontal or vertical – you decide!

Unlike so many wallcovering solutions, wall paneling can be fitted vertically or horizontally...

Wallpapers or vinyl wallcoverings are designed to be hung vertically, even if their pattern doesn’t dictate that, whereas wooden wall paneling allows you the option to choose.

In much the same way that vertical stripes on an outfit will make the person appear taller, wooden wall paneling fitted vertically will give the illusion that the ceiling is higher than it actually is!

And while most of us don’t want to appear ‘wider’ than we actually are, wall panels fitted horizontally in a room or as a feature in particular are sure to make the room or object feel wider than it really is.

Along with its on-trend appearance, Slatpanel is supplied in lengths of 2.4m, an ideal dimension to suit the height of an average UK home.

Just one of our latest wall paneling ranges, Slatpanel is not only a really stylish way to transform your walls or even a ceiling, but if offers acoustic properties too. In fact, it’s so efficient at absorbing sound transmission, it can be used in both domestic and commercial installations. As well as reducing the sound travelling through the walls between rooms, or through floors and the ceilings below, it will also reduce reverberation too!

Obviously these properties apply whether you fit Slatpanel horizontally or vertically, and used as a feature panel in place of a bedhead, it looks really contemporary fitted in a horizontal format too!

As you would expect, both our Reclaimed and TimberStik ranges can also be fitted horizontally or vertically.

Supplied as fixed width panels in an assortment of differing lengths, our Reclaimed and TimberStik ranges are sold in boxes of either 1m2 or 1.86m2.

To be really different, there is of course the option to ‘mix things up’ and fit the panels both horizontally and vertically!

Whichever way you decide to fit wooden wall paneling, you can be sure that you’ve picked a truly fabulous wallcovering solution for your walls!
